Hey Everyone,
I received this really interesting e-mail today again from Mr. Eric Korpiel about a program his institute sponsors that is similar to the JET Program, but for JTEs. Take a look, and if you know anyone who might be interested in this opportunity, do tell them.
Good Things,
Dan
Dear JET participants,
TLI appreciates the many responses from JET's regarding scholarships for
their students and welcomes further inquiries before our deadline.
Separately, we do not want to forget the third active participant, the JTE.
In many ways, a JTE's support is more critical than the ALT’s, as they will
continue on for many years. And, they are often lacking in experiences
using English practically. For this reason, TLI has the JOI program
offering which, in simple terms, works much like a "reverse-JET" program
for the JTE.

encourage you to contact soon. The deadline has been extended to March 15th
and further information can now be found at:

regards,

"The Laurasian Institution (TLI) was founded in 1990 and is dedicated to
cross-cultural pre-collegiate exchange. The J-corps, Jr. Program is for
Japanese students who wish to study in the U.S. for one academic year. TLI
interviews and selects based on both academic/English ability and other
intangibles, such as an eagerness to share about Japan and likeliness that
a student will thrive in an international setting. The deadline to apply
for the 2010-2011 school year is March 15, 2010.”
