Welcome! Room to Read Akita JET is a charter of the international charity Room to Read. Our Akita charter hosts many annual social events including the Lake Tazawa Camping Trip and the Halloween Dance Party.
As part of Room to Read International, we raise money to build schools and libraries in underprivileged countries; through education, the cycle of poverty can be ended. Thanks to the support of our ALT and CIR volunteers, Room to Read Akita has built a number of preschools and schools in South-East Asia.
